An Apology to the Colonial Treasurer.
| Per Press Association.! Wellington, August 20. Tb.e Evening Press, referring to the attack on the Hon Mr Ward, to which he alluded in the House says : — " We gladly admit that so far as we know anything of Mr Ward's record there is no member of the House who leas deserves that any slur should be cast i on his private character than he does. | We have already expressed the opinion that the administration of his Department appears to be conducted on fairer and more legitimate lines than that of some of his colleagues."
