MANAWATU RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the Manawatu Rugby Union was held at Mr Ross' room, Feilding, last evening. Present — Messrs Gieseu and Richards (Feilding), Roe (Birmingham), G. Saywell (Marton), Fake and Aldridge (Pirates), and Eliott (Kia Kaba). Mr Giesen was voted to the chair. It was decided that the dates of matches with tbo Horowhenua aud Wellington Unions be left over. Matches with the Wanganui Union will be played at Wanganui on August 25th, and the Bush Union at Feilding on September Ist, It was decided that a team from the Pirate and Kia Kaha Clubs play a match against the Feilding, Marton and Birmingham Clubs, at Foilding, on August 29th. Mr Weeks was placed on the Selection Committee. Mr Fake's motion to rescind bye-law 6, and that tlio Selection Committee consist of a representative from each club, was lost. On the motion of Mr Richards, C. Aitkcn, B. Whisker aud I. Watts were transferred to the juniors. It was suggested that as the Union was not in funds, the clubs should pay half the expenses of their players in representative matches.
