Brutal Assault.
(PR*- PBESS ASSOCIATION). Dcnedin, August 10. A man named Herbert Charles Neville was seriously assaulted last night and now lies in a precarious condition. Neville received a letter which asked him to meet the writer near the Town Belt. He kept the appointment, when he was struck by a neddy behind the ear. The detectives have arrested a man named Robert Hickliog for the occurrence.
