On Monday afternoon the South Canterbury representatives, who are on tour, will meet the Manawatu representatives on the Palmerston Showground. So far the visitors have lost all their matches, having been defeated by Nelson, Aucklaud, and Hawke's Bay. Monday's match will be a very closely cont ted lone, aud whichever team wins the victory will not be gained by many points. The match will commonco at 2 o'clock, so as to allow the visitors time to catch the train for Woodville. The officers of the Manchester Rifles have chosen a team ancl will endeavour to arrange a match with the Palmerston Mounted Rifles. A game between these two companies would be very interesting, as both possess somo firstclass players. Tlie Mounted Rifles have won two matches in Palmerston. The South Canterbury representatives passed through Feilding by last evening's traiu for Wanganui, where thoy play today. They return by Monday morniug's train, play Manawatu in the afternoon, and leave tho same evening for WoodviUe cv route for Masterton.
