Defendant was charged with offering a cow for sale in Palmerston sale yards, the same being diseased. Defendant was unaware tins * animal was affected. A nominal fine §; of 5s was inflicted, with costs 7s. Same v. Arthur Goldfinch. Defendant was charged with being the owner of certain infected sheep which were . offered for sale in Mr Carr's yards, at ; Feilding, on July 13. Defendant was convicted, and fined 20s, with costs 7s. Same t. M. Dougall. Defendant - was charged with being the owner of certain sheep affected with lice which were offered for sale in Mr Carr's sale yards, in Feilding, on 13th July. Defendant was convicted and fined 20s, with costs 7s. Same v. James Belk. This was a similar case to the above. Defendant was convicted, and ordered to pay 20s, and costs 275. H. Y. Pickering v. F. Hammond ; claim, £5 16s 3d. Mr Sandilands for ' plaintiff. Mr Hankins fordefendant. Judgment for plaintiff for £5 9s 7d, .: costs 13s, and solicitor's fee 265. J. Schmidt v. Mark Eichler. This was a judgment summons for £4. 11s 6d. Mr Richmond for judgment- creditor. Amount ordered to be paid within 1-i days, or in default seven days'imprisonment in Wanganui gaol. , . , Sydney Richardson v. ChaajSherlock; claim, Jils for wages. Mr Hankins for plaintiff ; Mr Sandilands for defendant. This was a case in which plaintiff sought to recover wages, at 6s per day, to the amount of £15, for assisting defendant in the erection of a certain boundary fence between Messrs Haggarty and Richardson. For the defence it was submitted that plaintiff had been taken into partnership with defendant to erect the fence, no rate of wages having been agreed upon. His Worship, in gumming ' up, held that no partnership had been proved. Judgment would be for plain* tiff for £4 4s IM, each party to pay their own costs. . . . The Court then adjourned.
