The Stock Market.
A. G. Tame and Co., Wellington, report on their horse sale on Saturday as follows : — Owing to the boisterous weather, there was only a small entry I and business was bad. We offered on 1 behalf ot Mr Fleming, of Ashburton, two useful draughts and two light harness horses, which were all passed in unsold and are now for private sale. Very few others have changed hands, ' and we have no quotations to make. Buggies and other vehicles shared a similar fate. Townsend and Paul, Wellington, report on the horse market as under : — The bad weather curtailed the arrivals from the country. A large attendance of onlookers were present, but few buyers, and many entries had to be passed. We sold hacks at £4 10s to £6 ss, and light harness horses at £7 to £8. No heary draughts were entered and express, and springdray stamps were not in the yard. A bay stallion, a perfect type of a compact draught horse, was passed in at 70 guineas, but we are open to deal privately for him.
