Campbelltown Notes.

[from or/B oww coßSßflroNpurr.l Mr £. Whitehead, of FeUding, held a successful meeting in the Gospel Hall last Wednesday evening, -when he exhibited stereoptical views' on thefsecond part of " Pilgrim's Progress." The views were accompanied by an elaborate address relative to each one, which made the evening very enjoyable. The Hall was packed, many being unable r to procure an entrance. The large audience was a good criterion of the estimation in which Mr Whitehead is held, especially for his genial disposition. The views were shown free of charge. La grippe is making some awful ravages among the elder people, fully one* third having had to surrender to this malady. One * family of eight were all laid down at the same time through its influences, and aid had to be obtained for both inside and outside work. A large number of members of the Excelsior Lodge attended the? meeting on Thursday evening, when the officers for the ensuing quarter were installed. The ways and means of making the district meeting, to be held on the 15th August, a success, accompanied by the anniversary tea, were discussed. A com* mittee of four was appointed to arrange the preliminaries, and doubtless they will do all in their power to make it 4 success.
