OROUA COUNTY V. QUEENS PARK, WELLINGTON. A match, under Association Rules, was played on the Oval yesterday afternoon, and resulted in n draw, neither sjde scoring, During the first spell play was very even, both goalkeepers having to handle the ball. Neither side succeeded in getting a goal, though McFarlaue, for the local men very nearly scored once, After changing ends the visitors, forwards headed by Stewart and Hill, made a determined effort to score, but the defence of the local men was too good for them Gibson in goal stopping a well directed shot. Towards the end of the game, the local men had all the best of the play and made repeated atjte^ipts tp get a goal, C, Myers especially pujbting in some good shots. Their efforts, however, were fruitless and the game ended as above. Besides the above mentioned the followipg played well, yip., Styelds ? Muir aud Lauchlan for Queen's Paris, and Gray, J. P. Hare and V?. Halpombe for Feilding, At Palinerstou yesterday the feilding Red Stars were defeated by the Pirate II by 9 points to nil.
