The Customs revenue for the quarter ending June 30 was £364,636, as against .£383,523 for the corresponding quarter of last yeaic The principle falling off was in ad wolorem duties amounting to £10,800, ami of beer duty for the same quarter wan £'13,519. This is probably owing to the large sales of drapery stocks recently held in the Colony, notably those of McArthur and Co., at Auckland, and Edwards, Bennett and Co., at Christchurch.
