(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION) Wellington, July 24 In the Supreme Court to-day Judge Richmond delivered judgment in the appeal made by a man named Arm strong against a conviction by the Bti- ™ pendiary Magistrate at Marton under £ section of the Police Offences Act which deals with the use of profane, indecent language The language proved against defendant was a certain comment upon the Btreet exclamations of the Balvation Army couched in words of gross meaning, U6ed in reference to the Saviour, and the question was whether it came within the terms of the section. His Honor held that it did, and therefore dismissed the appeal, with ten guineas costs.
