Captafn Edwin wired at mid-day today : - Very heavy W. to S. and S.E. gales with heavy rain and exceptionally cold weather ; glass rise ; indications for snow.
(Per Press Association). Brisbane, This Day. Wragge, the weather prophet, reports that the present severe weather experienced in Australia will improve before the expiration of five days, but very heavy weather threatens New Zealand, from Wellington southward.
