Messrs Abraham and Williams ropqrt : — A fair entry of sheep came in ait the Palmerston sale jesterday, but no cattle worth speaking of. Young cattle and dairy heifers were inquired for. and we can place them to advantage. The following pripes were realised : — JiSwea in lamb, mixed ages, various prices 9s ; 2tooth ewes, nmall, 9s; 4-tooili ewes, (gondj, 12< « forward wethers, 10 -i to 10s •irl ; shorn I<imb». &s 9d to Qs f}d { Eomnoy ewe lambs, 9s. Backward heifers and cows in calf, £3 12 6d to 2s. Pigs— Weanera, 6=> to 9s ; porkers 10s to 15s ; small sows, in pig, 17 6d. At Pahiatua, on Tuosdav, 10th met, tbe sheep market felt the improved tone and closed with an unsatisfied demand for good lambs We quote: — Fat steers, nice qua }ty, £Q 9s ; .'i-yoar store steers, i' 4 10s; fat cows! £'£'; yearling he^fors. £^ 12s Od j yearling steers, jg2 10« ; useful lunib.4, mixed sexes, 6s ; ewes in lamb, mixod age.x.o".
