The Port of Wellington.
An interesting return has -bfeen famished by the Evening Post* sowing the exports from Wellington to the United Kingdom daring the year 1893-4. Last year the figures were: —Wool and skins, 92,947 bales, an increase oi 16,031 on' the previous year. Hemp, 8994 -bales; increase, 3524 bales. Tallow and pelts, 10,740 casks; decrease, 141 casks. 'Grain and seeds, 4372 sacks ; increase, 2493 sacks. Preserved meats, 13,165 cases ; increase, 2205 cases. Sundries, 552 cases; decrease, 584" cases. Butter, 2498 tons; increase, 1387 tons. Cheese, ' 720 tons ; increase,* 395 tons. Frozen sheep, 295,563 ; decrease, 4588. Lambs, 36,758 ; decrease, 363. Beef, 5 ;! decrease 385. Pieces and legs f ripen mutton, 174,090 ; increase,; 73,265. Kidneys, 1434 cases ; increase, 756.
