There were more buyers in the yard than we havp seen, .for some time, with the .result a,|aurly good sale. Draughts ar» stilt a.drug except for active, deaoed<bo«sd'-ani-mals. We sold a chestnut mare, 6 years' old, for £18 ; and aged draughts good useful sorts; ' £13 and £13 lOt ; light harness hoTwes and hacks-btought £8 to £10 ; inferior sort*, £6., ; Townsend and Paul, of Wellington, report on the horse market as under . —Heavy draughts still difficult to f uit > at anything over ,£ls. Some' good 1 kinds from South sold at £13 to £18. \We disposed of medium draught at \ £14 ss, and lighter deschptionaat £8 10s to £9 ; a grand well set up chest- ; nut filly by Natator, £18 ; a fiael7hand grey gelding, a thorough coach stamp, at £14 ss ; a lively bay haok, i £8 108 ; and other ordinary sorts at 1 £4 to £6 10a. The tone of the market 1 was better than, for tS« past three sales. Good express and active swing dray horses were most in .damftaat:
