Messrs Gorton and Son report: We yarded at Feilding about 200 head of cattle and 5000 sheep. The attendance was excellent, and bidding much more spirited, resulting in a very good sale at advanced prices. We sold all the sheep chiefly under the hammer, the best pen of 2-tooth Romney ewes in lamb, belonging to Mr C. Parazyn, bringing 12s per head. We did not sell the three-year steers, but quitted the other cattle, the springing heifers bringing an average of over £8 14s each. Draught horses, £5 12s to £20 ; hacks and harness horses, £2 10s to £15 12s 6d.
