An Australian Authoress.
Headers of y<»uug people's books will be interested to learn that a new tale will shortly be published, which, it is expected, will meet with very considerable favour. Australians who have appreciated the charming works of Louisa Allcott and Mrs F. H. Burnett will hear with pleasure that the forthcoming volume is entitled " Seven Little Australians," and is written by Mies Ethel Turner, a young lady resident of Sydney. Undoubted ability of a high order is shown in the bright, fresh, original sketches of the children, the amusing characteristic scenes and incidents pourtrayed, and the sweet sadness and exquisite pathos of the narrative. About 30 full- page and other illustrations will be drawn by Mr A J. Johnson, the best artist in London of children's subjects, and the book will be well printed on good pa per, prettily and appropriately bound, and published by the Anglo Australian firm of Ward, Lock, and Bowden, Limited.
