The match played at Palmerston yesterday between the Manawata Polo Club and the Bankers caused a great deal of amusement. The former won by 7 points (a potted goal and a try) to 8 (a try). A club has been formed at Ashnrst. About twenty members have been enrolled. The Unions (Feilding) and Xi Ora (Palmerston) played a drawn game yesterday — six points each. A charge of one shilling will be made to the match at Birmingham on Saturday. The Horowhenua Union have decided to challenge the Manawatu Union to play on a date to be fixed. The following is the Birmingham | Mountaineers' team to play against Feilding on Saturday :— Full-back, J. Munro; three-quarters, J. McFarlane, F. Fanthorpe, W. Barlow; halves, D. Ross, D. Fisher ; forwards, J. Soles, £. Vitskey, L. Boucher, W. Bell, H. Moss, E. Wicks, F. Ross, H. Mnnro, J. Ashton.
