The Jury were called in at . 5,45, and said they had not agreed on " the counts, but were agreed that the r female was innocent, and she was discharged. As to the male prisoner, tho Crown having decided not to have a second trial, bis Honor discharged i the accused, at the same time saying this was not aa bad a case as some that bad been heard of, where elderly or weak woman had been induced to give up properties. He advised Hackett either to return to Australia or abstain from such practices* At the Supreme Court to-day, Manning, charged with fortune telling was acquitted.
