Temple, iv the House of Commons, suggested that an additional delegate should be sent to Ottawa who was not connected with the colonies, Mr Buxton, Under-Secretary for the Colonial Office, said the Government had full confidence in Lord Jersey. Mr W. H. Mercer, clerk iv tho Colonial Offioe, will accompany Lord Jersey as second British delegate to the Ottawa Conference Ottawa, June 12. The Australian 'delegates to the Tariff Conference have arrived at Vancouver, but their progress to Ottawa will bo slow owing to breaks in the railway lines caused by floods. The inhabitants of Vancouver gave a public welcome to the delegates.
