The Chief Dairy Expert.
Mr C. R. Valentine, chief dairy expert, left last night, accompanied by Mrs Valentine, iv the Tarawera for Auckland, in runic to England. We understand that he has been appointed dairy expert in Euglaud to watch over the Colony's dairy interests there, to open up new markets for our produce, and generally to develops and systematise the trade. Mr Valentine's official report has been sent in, and will be laid before Parliament in due course,
