Loan and Mercantile Company.
THE CALLS BEING PROMPTLY MET. (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! London, June 6. Applications for shares in the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have exceeded the anticipations of the directors, who are also highly satisfied with the way in which the payment of calls is being met. The Committee of Inspection is divided on the question of suing the old directors for the amounts of the dividends improperly paid out of the capital. Auckland, June 6. The general manager of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following telegram from London :— " The shareholders have freely subscribed, and the result of allotment is bejond anticipations. The success of the scheme is assured, provided the colonial shareholders do their part Only waiting result in the colonies in order to resume." Share holders in this colony are re minded that Saturday, 9th inst., is the latest day on which they can avail of their allotments.
