A. 6. Tame and Co., of Wellington, report of their weekly salo of horses held on Saturday : — The entries wore email, nnd the Bale as a whole exceedingly flat, no horses of anjr good imp or quality being entered. Wo quoto as follows : — Heavy draught*. £20 to £25 ; me hum sorts, £12 to £18 ; aged, £5 to £10. Harness horses suitable for van, express or t amvrny work, four to six-years- old, £12 to £18 Hacks, £6 to £10 lor best ; others, £1 atid upwards. Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — Consequent upon the bad weather the sales arranged for the earlier part of the week had to be postponed. On Thursday a large proportion of the stock advertised did not come forward. Bidding was fairly active. On Friday at Mr Whitehead's there was a large attendance of buyers, the class of cows being good' and in nice order. Competition was keen and full values were realised. Prices ran from £4 15s to £11, averaging a little over £7 per head. At Palmerston —2-year bullocks, £3 7s ; yearling and 18-month steers, £2 5s 6d ; fat bullocks, light and medium weights, £6 2s ; milch cows, £5 Is, £7 Is, and £9 Is each. Ewes in lamb, crossbred, averaged 6s 6d; 2- tooth wethers, indifferent quality^ 6s 4d ; cull shorn lambs, 2n lid to ite 6d.
