Wool is firmer and competition better Compared with tho various sale, superior greasy merinos are firm, but other merinos are at the average to fully 5 per centum cheaper ; crossbreds are £d, and lambs hto let cheaper. The Bradford wool market is depressed and business is restricted. Tho wool sales closed steady with good competition. Faulty sorts were 5 per cent below opening rates. Modern quality unchanged. Mutton, first quality, 4sd ; second quality, 2§d ; lamb, first quality, 4|. Melbourne mutton, 2Jd. For hemp there is a poor demand, and the New Zealand was bought in at the sales. Adelaide wheat, 25s 6d, weaker, ; Victorian, 2us, weaker.
