Ebor, liisboptliorpe, York, uuder date March 25, 1894, in which the letter states — •' I am using my utmost endeavours iv consultation with tbe Bishop of Durham to select a HUilable Bishop for the vacant 96(3, but the high qualifications specified in the communications which were re* coived in the first instance have limited considerably tbe area of selection. lam not without hope, however, that very shortly we shall be able to communicate to you the name of a satisfactory successor to Buhop Hadfield
