Mr Matthew Henry reports:— 'The entries yesterday were small in .both section?, and the attendance somewhat under the usual. Trade showed no improvement. The following are the prices at which business was done y — Cattle— 2£ to 3-year bullocks, M ; fat cows, £4" 10s to £6 6s ; weaner^, 19s to 275. Sheep — Fat ewes, 7s Id ; ewes in lamb, mixed nge3, 6s 9d. Messrs Lowes and Irons held their fortnightly stock sale at Masterton yO3 fcerday, but owing to the bad weather the bulk of the entries could not be brought forward. Small lambs were sold at 3s, small 2-tooth wethers at 6s> lid, aid ewes at 5s 3d, beef from £4 16s to £5 ss, cows 65s to 80s, old cowa 30s to 57a W, calves from 25s to 3Qs»
