The following applications fur titles were approved :— D Kane, section t7 Block V, Apiti ; W McDuugall, junr., secti.m 1 1, Block XII, Ongo ; liolly, * ejtion 87. &c , Block X, Pohangina ; J. O. and R H. Browne, section 63, Block XI. Pohangina. Capitalisations approved— W^ Warren, section 22, Block X.. Apiti • J. Brazier section 32, Block XIII, Apiti • B. J. Sowell, section 10, Block IT.' Omahine. The following transfers -were approved : — Section 4, Block "XI, Pohangina, T. Etheripgtun to A. Arbuckle; section 16, block IX, Apiti( W. J. Haycock to A. G Baycocjc: r Mr Richmond,, solicitor, waited on the Board in reference te the transfer of section 15, Block XVI, Ongo, from B. S. Sexelby to S. J.vCarmanv <w mortgage, and after the Crown Solicitor'B opinion had been read, it was decided to agree to the transfer. i 1 '[■ An application from George Green to transfer to Ada Coldstream section 1 500, Bunny thorpe* was deferred until the lessee had spent £40 on the land in addition to the in)provements already made. Anderson to H. Collier. The Under Secretary for ■ Grown Lands wrote that the . Minister for ; Lands was now prepared to accept the Board's advice to agree :tq. the; sur-^ render of Mr E. J. Riddiford's small grazing run, protecting bis improvements. — It was decided to oflbr ihe land for selection under Part 111. of the Act, weighted with the value of the improvements. " _ '.■,: ; The Banger, Mr Lundius, reported on Mr Curry's section No. ..4, jfelpck VI. Makotoku, and it was decided to grant the title asked for. ; .^ The Board decided that Tiling? settlement holdings converted into leases in perpetuity were liable to the payments of thirds for road making. On the motion of Mr Pirnni, seconded by Mr Hogg, the Board decided to ask the Minister of Lands to agree to state a case for the Supreme Court in reference to his contention that "the Commissioner of Crown Lands, and not the Land Board, had jurisdiction over the administration of village settlement, special settlement, andsraall farm homestead settlement selectors. -Standards " ;'•' ~ ' ' v
