A further cablegram received from Now Australia announces that Lane, the former administrator, with 47 men, some with families, have agreed to start an in dependent colony, close to the original site. Brisbane, May 18. An important Labor Conference has opened to deal witn the question ot the reduction of shearers' wages, and tbe new agreement insisted upon by tbe PastoraHsts' Union
