Wanganui Education Board.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Education Board was commenced last evening. Present — Messrs J. Notman (chairman), Sanson, Baker, Bridge, Fry, Careon, Hurley, Beckett, and the Rev J. Hoss. The following appointments were d^alt with in Committee : — Pohangina. — The appointment of Mr A. E. Welsh confirmed. Applications. — The names of Misses Grace, Barr, and £. J. Burr be placed on the list for re-appointment after June. Campbelltown — Resolved that in deference to the wish of the Committee, the offer of Mr Bowater of the post of relieving teacher be withdrawn ; and also that Messrs Carson and Beckett be a Committee to hold an inquiry into matters affecting this school. The Scholarships Committee and Finance Committee reports were read and adopted.— Chronicle.
