Impositions on Hospitals.
(rXB PBEBH ASSOCMTXOir.) V DmrsDiir, May 18. At the annual akeetioff oitatoCharitable Aid Board Mr lj. Robin, the Chairman, said it war nonsense to condemn the Act became persons received aid who were not entitled to it. They might as well condemn the hospital system because some persons took wrong advantage of it In the Dun* edin Hospital a Chinaman who went in as a pauper patient was found after his death to have had possession of £11 10s; another man who died a few months ago, and who had alto, entered as a pauper patient, was seen to have tied up in his singlet, under his armpit, securities to the amount of £300 ; a third person on entering said he might be able to pay for about a week's aid, and when it was found that he was dying he handed to the Secretary securities to the value of £1700. Would anyone My that because of these and other cases of imposition the hospital system should: be (fane awny with ? The Act should be allowed to go on until someone thought out somV thing belter.
