Mr Matthew Henry reports : — A very lair entry of young cattle came forward yesterday, but sheep were limited in numbers. Trade was dull and showed no improvement, A good clearance was, however, effected at the following quo tations : — Cattle— 2£ to 3 year steers, £3 12s 6d to £4 ; fat heifers and cows, £4 to £4 ss ; weaners, 22s 6d to 255 ,- dairy cows at the drop, £1 10s to £8 10s. Sheep —fat ewes, 7a Id ; small wethers, 6s 6d ; lambs , 28. Sunday School Teacher : "Bobby, can you name the three graces ?" Bobby : ••Yes'm the world, the flesh, and the devil."
