End of the Paeroa Dispute.
(PKS PRKSS ASSOCIATION). Paeroa, April 30. The Permanent Force party under Inspector Hickson, together with Mr Kenny, S M , and Sergeant Gillies, arri red at Paeroa at 830 o'clock The natives were disgusted at having bad their ammunition, amounting to nearly, one thousand rounds of ball cartridge, taken from them at Hiku taia, by luspector Hickson and party, but openly boasted that their friends here have twice as much The gene ral opinion favors the exaction of an apology from Ngatikai, which will probably be forthcoming, as the latter only number a few, and seined awed by the immense numbers of Te M*>a nanui's friends There is no question but that the natives meant business, aud nothing but the prompt action of the authorities has prevented very serious trouble The dispute may vow be regarded as settled, as the Permanent Force aud police leave here to morrow.
