Messrs Gorton and Son report— Within the last fortnight we have had very full yards at Hunterville, Campbellfcown, Marton, and Feilding, but m all cases the sales have been dull, the chief part of the business being done after the sales, at prices lower than we have been selling for some time. Good stock changes bands fairly well, but poor stock are unsaleable. Our quotations are : - Cattle. Hunterville : Fat bullocks, £6 ; fat cows, £i 15s ; H-year-old heifers, £4 7s ; weaners, 25s to 37s 6cl ; yearlings and 18-months cattle, .£2 5s to £2 7s Gd. Campbelltown : Forward cows, £3 10s ; 2-year mixed, £2 10s ; weaners, 30s ; calves, 14s. Marton |: Yearlings, 30s. Feilding: Springing heifers, £5 10s to £6 4s. Forward bullocks, £\ 14s ; cows, £3 3s ; weaners and yearlings, £1 11s to £1 15s ; weaners, £1 to £1 7s. Sheep. Hunterville : 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 7s 6d to 8s ; forward wethers, 8s 3d to 8s 9d ; 2-tooth wethers, 6s 6d. Marton : 2-tooth wethers, 6s 6d to 7s 9d ; breeding ewes, 4s 9d. Feildiug : 2-tooth ewes, 9s 3d to 10s ; fat ewes, 7s Id ; fat sheep, 8s ; breeding ewes, 4s 2d to 6s ; forward wethers, 8s 6d ; lambs, 3s 2d to 4s 9d. Pigs. - Small, 6s ; porkers, 12s. Messra Abraham and Williams report : — it our hor3e sale on Saturday, at Pal merßton, an average number came forward. On the whole a better Bpint prevailed than of late, but no advance in pnue can be quoted Draughts £18 to £21 10s ; spring carter, £9 ; hacks, £'4 10s to £7 15s ; screws and we^ds, £i £2.
