The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show the ■ total reserve in notes and bullion to be I £23,718,000, the proportion of reserve to liabilities being 65*76. ; Three months' bill are discounted at 1 per cent. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 107 i d; H* do., 100. New Zealand long-berried wheat, ex warehouse, 26s 9d ; market flat and business restricted. South Australian do., 27s 6d ; Victorian, 275. New Zealand frozen mutton, first quality, 4sd ; second quality, 3£d : market depressed. Lamb, first quality, s£d. There are no beef hind-quarters in the market Hemp is quiet. One hundred and ninety bales of New Zealand hemp were offered, but had to be bought in. Danish buttor, 101s.
