Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — Our sales for the week were held at Colyton and Palmers toil. Business was dull at auction, but upon vendors reducing reserves almost the lot was sold privately. Cattle were only in fair demand. At Palmerston yesterday a full muster of sheep came forward, and prices remained unchanged. The greater portion of the cattle was disposed of at prices much on a level with last week. Colyton.— Milch cow, .£5; heifer, in calf, £3; weaners, 30s; fat cows, £4 18s ; store cows and calves, £3 18s. Fat wethers, 8s 3d ; ewes, various prices, from Is 6d to 7s ; lambs, Is 4d to 4s 3d. Palmerston.— Forward bullocks, £5 ; 2-year-old steers, £3 ; 2A to 3-year-old steers, £4 to £4 7s ; mixed yearlings, £2 2s ; weavers, 26s to 37s 6d. Forward wethers, 8s 5d ; cross-bred wethers, up to 6s 6d ; shorn lambs, 2s 5d to 4s 4d ; culls, Is ; ewes, Is KM to 6s Id ; forward ewes, good quality, 7s 7d.
