The Stock Market.

A. G. Tame «fe Co report, (for the week ending 20th April) that they held their monthly sale at Featherston on Tuesday. They yarded 700 sheep and a few catt'e. »Sold store wethers at 7s 7s ; fat ewes, 7s 6d ; cull ewes, old, 3 ; calves, 22s 6d ; fat heifers, £4 2s 6d. They also held their monthly sale at Munukau on Wednesday. There they yarded 1300 sheep and about 30 head of cattle, and sold a good line of freezing wethers, four-tooth, at lis; fat two-tooth wethers and light weights 10s 4d and 10s ; fresh store ewes, mixed ages, 6s 9d ; medium store twotooth wethers, 8s ; a line of cull ewes, all ages, in low condition, 4s. On Thursday they held a clearing sale of dairy cows at the farm of Messrs J. «fe A. Hall, Karori. There was a good attendance, and a good sale, Tbey sold in all 35 cows and a number of young cattle at prices from £6 to £8 5s for good cows in milk ; £4 to £5 for older sorts ; and £2 tq £3 for old cows some time off calyipg. The animals were mostly aged, and in low condition ; five weaners at 19s, and nine at 23s 6d ; two calves at 28s j collie dog, 255. Sheepskins — There is a gcod demand for all kinds of sheepskins, which the firm sell by auction every Monday. They quote as follows : — Butchers' skin?, 2s 6d to 3s 6d ; lambs, 2s (3d ; country skins, 3d to 4£d per lb ; pelts, ls 6d to ls ; hides, 7s to 13s ; tallow, 30s ; horsehair, ls per lb.
