The Stock Market.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows : — On Monday we held a clearinz sale of stock effects on account of Mr Olsen at his farm, BunnTthorpe. Every thing from ntock to crockery made full Value. On Tuesday, at Awahuri, we had a full yard of stock. There was a good demand for young cattle throughout, others somewhat easier than of lute. Sheep dragged right through — howerer, afterwards we virtually cle >red the whole eDtry, but vend' >ra had t » accept lower figures than at the outset. At Palmerston, yesterday, tho ej.try of cattle was principally confided to young stock, for which a steady demand existed, other sorts found purchases at q-otmons. Awahuri.— Catte— 2^ year steers, £4 6s ; weaners, 23s to 39s ; forw trd cows, £4, ; vecrling a leers, £2 4s ; 2-ye ir heifers, £2 le ; milkers up to £4. Sh.-ep — Forward ewes, 69 ltid ; 2 « tooth wethers, €s 6d ; etore wetbeas, 7s 8d to 8s si ; lambs, 4s to os ; culls, Is 9d ; f.m. ewes, ss ; culls. 2d 6d. Palmerston — Cattle — Mixed weaners, 2 ls to 38s ; milch cows i>p to £5. Sheep — Store wetherj, 8s to 8s 4d ; store ewea, 2e Id to B~ 1 J ; lambs ehora in December, 4a to 5b 4d.
