The new Registration Bill provides for one-roan-one-vote, and for simultaneous polling throughout the Empire. Three Welsh members have declined to support the Government since the Evicted Tenants' Bill has been given precedence over the question of the disestablishment of the Church of Wales. Later. Tke Registration Bill was read a first time in the House of Commons to-day. It reduces residence qualification to three months, abolishes plural voting and disqualification of persons who are not ratepayers, and provides that the general election shall take place throughout the country on the same day, viz., Saturday.
