The Dunbar-Field Company.

An appreciative audience attended at the Assembly Rooms last evening to witness the production of "The Ticket of Leave Man " by the above dramatic combination. The play is an old favourite with play-ejoers, and last night it was excellently performed, those present giving ample proof of their appreciation of the company's eflbrts by loud and frequent applause. Mr Laurie Dunbar in the character of ;| Bob Brierly " gave a tine interpretation, the popular astor in every way upholding his past reputation. " Hawkshaw " was quite a prominent feature in the able hands of Mr Charles Field, his representation of the keen-eyed detective being first-class. A special word of praise must be accorded to this gentleman for the effective manner in which he concealed his identity in the 4th act. Mr T. M. Ford, as Maltby the landlord, proved himself to be «a capable and experienced actor, and Messrs Ainslee, Brandon-Cremer, and Beaumont gave entire satisfaction in the interpretation of their respective parts. In the pathetic part of " Mary Edwards " Miss Helen Fergus at once enlisted the sympathy of all by her touching portrayal of the fcriala and sufferings undergone by the luckless " May." " Mrs Willoughby " an elderly lady was amusingly played by Miss Annie Wyniard. The company appear tonight in the renowned drama " The Corsican Brothers," a piece which caused an irnmonse sensation on its production in London some years ago. As the company is an excellent one we hope to see them greeted with a crowded house.
