The Championship Regatta.

Picton, March 27 The following prize money was won by the various clubs :— LyMelton, £30 ; Auckland, £24 ; Unions (Christchurch), £24 ; Blenheim, £24 ; Nelson, £20 ; Stars. £6 ; Wellington, £5 ; Unions (Wanganui) £5 ; Dunedin, £2. Canterbury and Picton were the only clubs competing who did not touch money. It is expected the gathering will be a financial success. The consensus of opinion among rowing representatives is that the system of-a peripatetic championship meeting should be discontinued, and strong efforts are beiug made to have Picton selected as tne fermauent course.
