A Shocking Fatality.
THREE GIRLS DROWNED. (PEE PEEBB ASSOCIATION). Sydney. This Day. Three girls (sisters), named Yeonans, were drowned yesterday in the Macquarie river, near Bathurst, in view of hundreds of people. They attempted to cross the river in a trap, but the horse got out of its depth, and the occupants were thrown out into the water. A man named McCreddie, who attempted to rescue them narrowly escaped drowning as the girls tenaciously clung to his neck.
