The Easter Encampments.
Thrt Manchester Rifles, under ("apt* Kirton and Lieuts. Bray and Burlace. left Feitding by special train at one o'clock for the encampment at Forirua The total number of men in camp yesterday was rather email - only 446, but it is expected that many more will go in to-day, more especially as the musters of the Wellington corps do not at present count for daylight parades. The supply of provisions and other camp requisites is pronounced on all hands to be excellent. To day the troops will be principally eagaged in outpost duty, and tomorrow a. church parade will be held, the Rev Mr Tuckey officiating On Mjnday morning there is to be a »ham fight, concluding with a review by Colonel Fox, and the camp will break up about 5 30 p m. j (Per Press Association). vuckland, March 23. The Auckland Garrison Volunteers left last night by train for the Easter encampment at Otahuhu Racecourse. W flli n gton. M nrch 20. It is expected 500 will be under canvas at the Porirua Volunteer canip. The local camps leave to-night.
