A QUERY.
TO THE l-'.DITOH <'F THE STAII. Sib, — We were both at the sale of sheep at the pound on Monday last. There were 20 sheep sold in two lots of ten. The first ten were sold for 3s ld and the second ten for 2s 9d. How your informant can n.ake this into an average price of lid as stated in your issue of Tuesday last we fail to understand. I am, etc., H. Pickering G. E. Little. Feilding, March 22ud, 1894. [The average was 2s lid per head. The mistake was ours. — En. F.S.]
