THE LICENSING ELECTIONS. TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sib, — In reply to " Reformer," and to the questions put to you, but not answered, I would say first : It is not necessary to leave eight names nncancelled. The ballot paper will be quite formal if all but two names are struck out. Then re the prohibition vote ; If this vote is lost it will count for a reduction. This has been fully explained in Wellington, and elsewhere, and I would strongly urge all who have an interest in the public good to vote "no license." If we don't get that we may get a reduction. I am, etc., Prohibitionist.
