The New Mail Route.

[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION,! LoNDox, March 15 Mr Huddart expects that Canada and the Australian colonies will make a substantial increase in the existing subsidies to the Pacific mail service. He declines to say anything at present respecting the probability of tbe steamers calling at New Zealand and Melbourne, but it is under stood that he will make a statement on this point at the Ottawa Conference. Later. Mr Huddart states that in addition to granting a subsidy to tho Canadian line, the Government will guarantee four per cent, debentures of preferred stock for 20 years. The three great Canadian Railways have pledged their support.
