Colonial Produce in England.
(PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Loxdox, March 15. Messrs Coey, Reynolds and Tr«m» grouse, representatives of dairy produce firms, had an interview with tho ShawSavill Company, and aa a result of tho meeting, the Company has agreed to carry butter from iho colonies to England next season at a tempi ratuie of 2D to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. It was pointed out that it was imperative that butter should be chilled tlireo days prior to ship ment. Mr J. 11. Geddes, ef New South Wales, gayo an address before the ManChester Chamber of Commerce, in which ho urged that Mauchcstor should aff >rd means for direct trade so as to divert a large portion of wool, frozen meat, &c, from tho Australian Colonies to the North of England. He offered, if Manchester would subscribe ten thousand pounds for tho purpose mentioned, to undertake to find a similar sum iv Australia. At the closo of his address a committee was appointed to take stops to further direct trade botween Manchester and the Aus.. tralaeian colonies.
