THIS DAY. (Before Mr Brabant, S.M.) A. Dermer v. Herbert Chester; claim £5 19s. Mr Prior for plaintiff. No appearance of defendant.. Judgment for plaintiff by default for the amouut claimed with costs lis, and solicitor's fee 21s. A. Hight v. R. Hammond ; claim £60. Mr Richmond for plaintiff, and Mr Sandilands for defendant. Plaintiff's solicitor applied for an adjournment. Adjourned to April 19th. W. A. Sandilands v. Jas. Keen ; claim £5 ss. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs 16s. Manawatu Timber Company v. Peter Boisen ; claim £3 3s. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs 13s. G. J. Scott, D.O.A. (in the estate of H. S. Munro), v. A. C. P. Kuyvett ; claim £11 13s 3d. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff, and Mr Richmond for defendant. H. S. Munro was sworn and gave evidence of having supplied the defendant with the goods in statement of claim. S. Batliff also gave evidence. Judgment for amount claimed, and costs 445, solicitor's fee 21s, witness' expenses £1, execution to be stayed tiU next Court day. R. Burne v. T. M. Jackson (Jackson and Warner) : claim £60. Mr Prior for plaintiff and Mr Fitzherbert for defend« ant. Burne's evidence, as taken last Court day, was read over by the S.M. and defendant was examined at length as to the transactions of the firm with ! Burne. Tho principal item disputed was tlie sum of £33, which defendant claimed should have been and was credited to tbe firm of Jackson and Warner by Burne, who, in his evidence, stated that he had received notice from I Warner stating that the £33 was not to ! be credited to the firm but waa his private money. (Left Sitting.)
