Tliis clever and amusiny opera to be produced by tho Foxton Amateurs, is so well known in its general features that no praise of them is necessary from us. It is our pleasant duty, however, to inform our readers that the company who will appear for the first time in Feildiug in the Assembly Rooms this evening, comprises many really talented performers, while the acting, the singing, and the scenery prepared specially for the piece, have all won golden opinions from the Press iv Foxton and Palmerston, in both of which places they were greeted with bumper houses aud awarded the most cordial receptions. Their object is entirely a charitable one, and their efforts have already been the mcauti of augmenting the finances of the Pahuertitou Hospital to a considerable extent. "We feel confident therefore that the people of Feilding and the surrounding districts, will also come forward and give their visitors a hearty welcome.
