Dr Nansen's Expedition.
The Norwegian Ministry of the Interior has received a comtnunicotion froa} the Russian Baron Toll to the effect that Dr Nausen had not put into Olenek up to October 25. In reply, the Ministry have informed the Baron that the latest news from Dr Naneen was cont»iaed in a letter from the Jagor Straits, dated August 8 In this the explorer eaid expressly that if tho 34 dogs which he had takeu on board there proved to be eervicable he should not call at Olenek for the reserve of dogs collected there. It may be concluded tlrnt the conditions of the ice continued favorable, and that Dr Nansen has sailed on a north-easterly course, finding it unnecessary to go so far east as the New Siberia Islands or to put put into Olenek. Authentic news of the expedition is therefore not to be looked for until Captain "Wiggins, on bis return next jear from the Yenesei, calls at Port Dickson Harbour, where the Nansen expedition will almost certainly touch. j
