Peculiar Fatal Accident.

» (PBB PBEBS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, March 1. At the iuquest on the little girl Lane, who died from injuries received while playing in the grounds of St. Joseph's Orphanage, the evidence showed the in jury consisted of a very small puncture in the forehead. In fact after (he child fell blood was washed away, and she resumed playing as if nothing had hapx pened. No ill effects were felt for some days, when she became unconscious and died. The post mortem revealed the fact that the inner tissue of the scalp was quite loose from inflammation, and the medical theory was that some particle of dirt must have become embedded in the wound and caused inflatnaiation of the membrane, resulting in death. A verdict was returned according to medical testi mony.
