PAHIATUA V. MANAWATURANGI. TIKEI UNION. The Pahiatua team arrived in Feilding about a quarter to 10 o'clock this morning, and the match commenced shortly before 11 o'clock. Pahiatna went first to the wickets and were all out for 116, when an adjonrneuient was made to the Manchester Hotel for luncheon. The are the scores:— "
A meeting of delegates of the Mana-watu-Rangitikei Cricket Association was held at the Manchester Hotel, Feilding, last evening. The following dabs were represented : — Feilding (Mr Baillie), Colyton (Mr Entwisle), Palmerston (Mr Reade), Marton (Mr Cohen), Sandon(Mr Burlace), Halcombe (Mr Tompkins). It was resolved, on the suggestion of Mr Crump (captain of the Palmerston team), to present a medal to the players in the team that secures the most wins in place of giving a cup to the club. As no ground is available, it was decided to abandon the trip to Wellington, but the secretary was instructed to communicate to communicate with the Napier, the United, and Hawke's Bay clubs with a view to arranging matches. Other business of a routine nature was transacted and the meeting then adjourned.
